The Pslamist reminds us in 16:2 that he has no other good than the Lord himself. Is that not encouraging for us who are constantly worried about the "good" in life. We toil so hard to get a good life. Our way of describing the good has to do with what makes us feel important and satisfying. Our way of having good is to do with "stuff" which we think will fulfill us. In order to find that which satisfies us we fill our lives with all kinds of things which then binds us so much that we fail to realize the ultimate good. But the Bible is profound in saying that we do not have any other good than the Lord himself. Once we realize that the Lord is the supreme good then the rest of other "good" will pale into insignificance. The Pslamist wants the readers to understand that once you have the Lord as the ultimate good then you will be able to experience all other good things as coming from Him. Enjoy the Lord today as the ultimate good and He will bring all good things to you.

Praise the Lord The Psalmist reminds us in 31:15 that our times are in the hands of our God. Are you glad about this truth? If you understand this truth then you shall be indeed set free. Many a times we wander aimlessly through the maze of disillusionment, discouragement and doubt. We are trying to make sense of our life and situation. We are striving hard to find ultimate meaning for our existence. Yet the Bible teaches us that our times are in His hand. He is the one who knows our past, present and future. He has been the same since time began or from all of eternity. He says that I am that I am. He who led yesterday will lead today and will lead tomorrow. He who fed yesterday will feed today and feed tomorrow. He who protected yesterday will protect today and will protect tomorrow. Once we understand this simple truth we can redirect our energies from that which is causing discouragement and doubt to something that has eternal value. So, friend if you are going through soemthing in your life today know this that our good and bad times are in His hand. God Bless Pastor Satish

Praise the Lord There are times when we need the encouragement to cast away our fears. God promises us in His word many a times about the need to be confident and not be afraid. He tells us also to stand firm and be still. The message came emphatically to Moses and the people when faced with a giant of a problem. In front of them is the never before seen sea and behind is the sea of Pharaoh's army whom they had seen over the last many years. The English proverb caught between the devil and the deep sea becomes appropriate here. Apart from that God says to them to be still and let God handle the situation. Both the expressions stand firm and be still points to the need for us to allow God to intervene for us. It calls for us to cease striving. Once we allow God to work for us on our behalf we can see the deliverance that He alone can bring. Are you afraid today? Are you worried over some situation that you do not see any hope? Place it in the hands of God and see the amazing thing that He can do i we trust him completely. God Bless Pastor Satish

Praise the Lord The people of Israel said this to Moses when confronted with the Red Sea in front and Pharaoh's army behind them. Their cry is of course a desperate cry of alienation and abandonment. They thought that they have become the victims of a divine intervention and all that Moses promised them is a bunch of lies. In many ways we also cry out the same thing when we are confronted with issues of life. We ask to be left alone. Why? Maybe we do not want to be exposed to our own hypocrisy and evil within us. When we are confronted with the truth of the matter we ask to be left alone. We become clouded in our judgment and are unable to see beyond our present circumstances. May be we are afraid to make changes that we are called to make. We may have become too comfortable in our comfort zones that a change is un welcomed. Hence, we ask not to be disturbed. Are you saying this today then you may have to check your motives. It is time that you allow the truth to penetrate your heart and soul. God Bless Pastor SatishÂ

Praise the Lord In the history of the people of Israel the entry of Moses during the slavery of Egypt was the defining moment. In Moses, God of their fathers was making a passionate plea for their deliverance and restoration as a people of God. When Moses went to speak to Pharaoh for the first time about God's definitive plan for his people, the result was more forced labor and more work so that these people will not focus on God and worship. In Ex 5:9, we read that Pharaoh commanded that the Israelites to keep on working and not to be taken over by the lies of Moses and Aaron. In many ways today world also we see the same thing. The devil knows how to keep us bogged down by work and hence we find less time for God and his Kingdom. The devil will make us work and work so that work will take precedence over everything. "Let my people go" is the passionate cry of the Lord for all generations but the god of this world will feed us on all lies and keep us from knowing the truth. The Bible is clear that truth will set us free and the devil knowing that will try to keep us under false sense of accomplishment and achievement. Friends, ask yourselves today are you being made to work more and more and never having time to worship? It is time that you choose your priorities. God Bless Pastor Satish

The passage in Exodus 1: 12 seems paradoxical for us to believe. The people of Israel were oppressed by the Egyptian and were put on forced labor. They wanted to discourage the people and subdue them. But we see that the people of Israel multiplied the more.We do not find too many reasons for this remarkable growth pattern. The only one thing that we glean from the passage is that they were the covenant people of God and hence, some kind of divine empowerment was given them to thrive in adverse situation. Many a times circumstances of adversity may want to crush us under but a child of God can not only face the adverse situation but can actually grow in the midst of that. Paul reminds us that we are perplexed but not driven to despair, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed, hard pressed on all sides but not crushed(2Cor 4:8f) Adversity in the life of a believer is not to break him but to mold him. It is God glorifying moments in his life whereby he lives the full potential of his destiny in the presence of God. So today what ever may be the adverse situation that you face, God can help you to triumph over the same because you know Him. God Bless Pastor Satish

Praise the Lord Have you had an opportunity in your life when someone's evil perpetuated on you became a blessing in disguise? This is what Joseph says to his brothers in Gen 50: 20, "you intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done" On a human level many of us cannot forgive and forget what if this was done to us by our brothers. We may then relent if we have been gripped by the tender mercies of God. We can forgive and forget only if we have the love of Christ shed in our hearts. Joseph saw the fulfillment of his dreams. His brothers came and fell on their face and told him that they are his slaves. But we see a forgiving Joseph. In many ways he stands as a shadow of our Lord Jesus Christ. Men did evil to him and God turned that into the saving experience of many. Are you going through something today that is bothering you and are you simmering with rage for what someone did to you? Wait and see how the Lord can turn your mourning into dancing for you and take off your sackcloth and gird you with gladness. Wait patiently. God Bless Pastor Satish

Praise the Lord In the book of James we read that everyone should be quick to listen and slow to speak and slow to become angry. The reason that James this is because the anger of man does not bring about the righteous life that God desires. It is indeed true that God has bestowed us with two ears for listening twice and only one tongue to speak circumspectly. But today we suffer from speaking too much and listening less. This naturally leads to the danger of becoming angry. It is because when too many people speak and only few ears are listening then the question of authority props up. Who must be listened? It leads to anger and then it would not bring about the life that God desires of us. Anger in itself is not wrong but when we become angry and fail to live up to God's expectation then anger is really bad. We may have a million reason to be angry with some legitimately but ask yourself does it please my God? It will not bring about the righteousness of God. So today when you have reason to be angry think twice and speak slowly and may your words be few in such situation. God Bless Pastor Satish

Praise the Lord The vision of Ezekiel in chapter 37 is rich in meaning. It describes the events of a metamorphosis. From being a valley of dry bones we see a vast army coming out. A careful study would reveal that all that was needed for this change was the one who had to speak the words of life. We read that Lord Almighty telling Ezekiel to prophesy to the dry bones. First when he did that the bones came together and became bodies but without breath. He again prophesied and breath came and they became a vast army. What does it mean to prophesy? A prophetic office in the OT comprised of people who stood in the council of God and spoke on the Lord's behalf to the people. They became the spokesmen of God. They would use the phrase: "Thus says the Lord" Even today we are called to be a prophetic voice. We have been endowed with power because of the advent of the Holy Spirit to speak words of healing and restoration and life in situation of death, dryness and defeat. Are you speaking prophetic words today in your situation? It may seem impossible or very very dry but speak in the name of the Lord and see the situation changing. God Bless Pastor Satish Kumar

Praise the Lord In Ps 103: 13 we read that the just as the Father shows compassion so also the Lord shows compassion on those who fear him. Human fathers show compassion to their children by virtue of being fathers. No matter how hard, obstinate and rebellious the child may be the father still has some place of love and mercy for the child. It is because of the law of love or familial relationship. So also the heavenly father shows compassion by being virtue of being the one who has created us and known us. But the only qualifying statement is that for those who fear him. So for those who are rebellious God may show his hand of discipline and they may stand under his wrath, but for those who fear him he shows to be compassionate. How is your relationship to your Father today? What are you experiencing from Him today? God Bless Pastor Satish
